Can a hotel hold your luggage if you have not made reservations?
I am traveling from the Los Angeles Airport to my hotel in Glendale by bus. I am visiting Santa Monica on the way for a couple hours, but I am not planning to stay there. I'm not about to lug around my suitcase all afternoon, but I don't know what else to do with it. Can you just stop by a hotel and ask if they have a luggage holding service? What is the likelihood of them actually questioning whether or not you made reservations? Any other ideas?

doubt any hotel will accept, unless you have checked in

Don.t they have rental lockers in bus stations there???

i'm not understanding your question why haven't you made reservations if you don't you could find your hotel already booked and no rooms so you want go all way to glendale first find hotel then go all the way back to Santa Monica then go all way back to Glendale? do you know how far those cities are from each other quite a distance about 20 miles

Ask yourself why they would want to be responsible for your luggage if you're not staying there.

Go to this website http://www.getaroom.com/ and type Glendale, under "Your Destination? Enter a city or airport code" . Select Glendale, CA option and enter the details (dates, # of people etc). Great deals for hotels, air travel and activities in the area you search. There are customer reviews of the hotels as well.

FWIIW, Glendale is a primarily Armenian community, one of the largest in the world. It is sort of the handmaiden to Pasadena, which has experienced a renaissance in the last 20 years or so. Other than the Armenian food and culture, Glendale is a standard issue LA suburb. Not much to see or do there, but near to a lot of different things, like the Zoo and the Observatory and Griffith Park and Hollywood.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you great hotels and best prices available. just go to BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck

Hello, Glendale is about 7.5 miles from L.A. city center. It can take anywhere from 15 to 30 min depending on traffic. Maybe more if it's really bad. Not familiar with L.A. cab fares but you could easily find this online. For future reference, to find distances between 2 locations, use http://maps.google.com First type in a city, then click on the little red tab that comes up to get directions to somewhere else. Very helpful & easy to use

About What's the deal with Glendale
What's the deal with Glendale?
Two years in a row now, a heavily favored, and previously undefeated team has traveled to the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale Arizona only to loose in an monumental upset. In 2007 we saw the overrated yet strongly favored Ohio State Buckeyes get slaughtered 41-14 by the Gators of Florida, and now, in 2008 we watched the 18-0 New England Patriots, a team destined for perfection, fall to the New York Football Giants. What's the deal? What is in the water in Glendale?

The Pats got beat by a better team. The Giants were more physical, were better prepared and the Pats were way overconfident. The franchise had actually copyrighed "19-0". Can you believe that? They hadnt even won 19 yet and had already copyrighted it. The Pats play in a horrible division which accounts for 10 easy wins. As far as last years National Championship game, I dont see the comparison other than it was in the same stadium. The Super Bowl reminded me more of the 2002 National Championship game when the huge underdog Ohio State physically beat the tar out of the alledged best college football team ever, Miami. Which, by the way, was also in Glendale

About Recommendations for a birthday meet-up in Glendale/Burbank area
Recommendations for a birthday meet-up in Glendale/Burbank area?
Hi everyone...! My birthday is coming up on May 5 and I CANNOT decide where to have everyone meet up for my birthday. I have thought of countless places but nothing seems worthy. It's also a "holiday" so most of the Mexican hangouts will be very crowded. Have you been to any cool bars/lounges/restaurants in the Burbank/Glendale/Studio City area? I'm not willing to travel very far because I have to work and it's guaranteed that I'll be super tired by the end of the day. I've looked up lots of places on Yelp, Yahoo Local, etc but that doesn't really give me a good idea of what to expect. Your recommendations and personal experiences are appreciated! ;) Sorry, to be more specific: looking for cool BARS.

Barney's Beanery in Burbank - very cool place.

Bobs Big Boy, no bar but fun! They got a star bucks next door, go eat there, then hit a club! (my fav restaurant its on like riverside or ?) Use google maps, put in your address, then in search nearby put bars, there will be lots listed. Sorry I use to work in that area, but never went to clubs, El Torrito was my fav place to eat besides Bobs. Lots of bars have websites so you can see what they look like. Probably not much help huh
