Where r fun safe clean areas to live near Glendale California 4 a 22 yr old? What is Glendale like/GCC college
Im goin 2 school @ Glendale community college California. soon.Im movin w/ a trailor n lookin 4 a nice area 2 live either on a very safe senic trailor park or most likely I'll rent a room.Im a massage therapist and won't get a job untill i move 2 Cali. but I need to be close to this school or @ least another community college close to LA. I want to go to college for general studies, presue acting while practicing massge. I love the outdoors, (hikin, mts, parks, ocean) Is there any areas that are chill around LA that provides good music and fun, art, nice people, spas (4 work), good food and thats affordable? I'll have a car, about 5,000 bucks, and no job. I could afford the most 600$+utilities a month even if its just a room.I'd travel 40mins w/ traffic the most to a community college near LA. I know one girl that lives near La whos a friend of a friend shes 37 i'm 22 not only is she a little older, which can hinder our simularities but shes only one person. I'm desperate 4 advice thanku

You might also try looking in the cities of La Crescenta or La Canada which are both very close to Glendale Commununity College.

Good luck in community college; make sure to take English classes; your spelling and grammar need a little work. You won't be able to afford to rent an apartment for your budget but you should be able to find a roommate situation. If you are going to Glendale Com College they have lots of bulletin boards of people looking for roommate situations that should be of use to you. Always helps to live with a student to help you stay focused on school work. Glendale is a nice area. Pasadena, Altadena, Arcadia (west end of San Gabriel Valley) is nearby and very close to San Gabriel Mts. with great hiking close by. You might want to try Craigslist or local papers as well as campus to find roommate situation. Good luck.

WOW!...thats good!...Okay first off Glendale is a good area...so have you had any luck with finding a place to live there..and the next close area is Burbank,CA..now this is a great area if you like the somewhat of a small town field except your exposed to so much more, now everything does come with a negative side, but Burbank has one of the lowest crime rates, strong police, "somewhat of a gang issue",but trust the kids that are into that stuff are just bored and have nothing to do, and you do have to lil "not so good areas but you can tell by looking at them",but overall that is prolly the only things...but its safe, has little shops, malls, movie theatres, and over acheived schools..and plus all of the MAJOR studios, NBC,Disney,Hollywood Records, ect.,and your very close to Hollywood so auditions wouldnt be a problem, also close to NOHO aka North Hollywood its inespensive to live there BUT be VERY careful..there are some rough patches I hear and read about, also...5000 is very good that you have saved that up, and a trailor part being in CA...Ive never heard of that,,but there are fields..so hmm..that could be a option..good food..MELROSE...try Downtown LA..some places in LA have small shops where they have really cheap food like hotdog stands..ect...and clothes...there like EXTRA cheap as well..you can get like a pair of designer look alike jeans for like 50 cent...Tyra Banks had it on her show...and maybe to learn your way around try the BUS..you can get a bus pass for like 30 bucks...I heard its getting better..b/c gas,and LA taxes are EXPENSIVE..and almost all of the businesses in CA are open 24/7...and there are alot of beaches as well..so you shouldnt have a problem with that..and finding a job should be simple.. try www.snagajob.com and start applying asap...and to start your acting off and buliding up your resume go to CENTRAL CASTINGS...its for extra casting..you can pull that up and get the requriements..I think youll need like a snap shot, headshot, a good wardrobe, and you have to come like what you think you could get cast as...like if they need a business type extra reading a newspaper come as the part..but come dresses very nice..and there is San Frenardo Church of Christ you can attend..for guidance and being a true Christian..b/c when your moving and CA has a lot of diversity and things you have prolly never seen before..you have to be strong and just stay safe..and dont make bad choices..you can do all things through CHRIST..and thats real... read Romans 16:16 and you can see that the only church in the bible CHURCH OF CHRIST..and give them a call..and they will love to lend a helping hand no matter what...be POSITIVE..and if you want to be actor..no YOUR craft..there are billions of kids coming to LA wanting the same thing..and sometimes they forget and end up doing something completley out of wack..so stay focused and you can do it..and be prepared for a thousands NO's...to ONE yes..and if you stand for NOTHING you CAN fall for anything..NO speeding..stay away from CLUBS...I mean what happens when u go there half of the time..NEGATIVITY..and especially when your new to an area...dont trust everyone..be safe, strong, and goal oriented..and there are exciting places...like UNIVERSAL studios..okay email me with more questions..GOD BLESS..thanks for your time

For $600, you probably wont have much trouble renting a room, as long as you dont have any pets. The best source here for rooms/shared apt's is craigslist.org. Glendale is a very nice, clean, safe area. I took some classes at GCC & its a good school. Pasadena City College, which is nearby is also a good school. One thing, there are NO trailer parks around here. Maybe a very few for seniors. But it's not like in other places- for some reason we have hardly any trailer parks in LA County. Not sure why. Good luck with your move!

Lowest rents around are approaching $1, 000 for a studio. Hum not a another actor looking for fame and the big time. Stay in school near you home finish the first two years of college and then transfer to UCLA or Cal-State Northridge
